The patient attended Herrera Dental Clinic with an advanced situation of oral deterioration. He presented a total absence of teeth in the posterior sectors, retaining only the teeth from canine to canine, which showed mobility, bone loss due to periodontal disease, gingival asymmetry, and misfitted and aged ceramic restorations.
The smile was unstable both aesthetically and functionally, with the inability to chew properly and a heavy occlusal load on the few remaining teeth. A comprehensive approach with surgery and a fixed prosthesis on implants was chosen.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?
- Complete extraction of non-viable teeth: exodontia of all remaining teeth was performed due to their poor periodontal prognosis and aesthetic-occlusal compromise.
- Placement of 6 strategic implants: through guided surgery, 6 implants were placed in optimal positions to support a fixed rehabilitation, guaranteeing primary stability and a balanced occlusal load distribution.
- Definitive zirconia prosthesis on titanium bar: the final rehabilitation was a screw-retained monolithic zirconia prosthesis, supported on a milled titanium bar, which guarantees strength, biocompatibility, and long-term aesthetics. A completely new smile was achieved, without an artificial palate, with excellent comfort, phonetics, and aesthetics.
- Harmonious and natural aesthetics: gingival asymmetry was corrected by planning the emergence profile of the prosthesis, achieving a continuous and balanced smile line.
