The patient attended Herrera Dental Clinic with an advanced situation of multiple missing teeth, which had caused a bite collapse (reduction of the vertical dimension), dental flaring (outward displacement of the anterior teeth), and a marked skeletal disharmony: the maxilla presented a greater development than the mandible, generating a visible discrepancy between both structures.
This combination of factors not only affected facial aesthetics and the smile, but also masticatory function and occlusal stability. A comprehensive intervention through guided surgery was planned, addressing both the bone and the prosthetic plane.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?
- Comprehensive rehabilitation with guided surgery: extraction of residual teeth was performed, followed by bone regularisation to compensate for the discrepancy between arches. This procedure allowed preparing the bone base for a correct implant placement and balancing the height between maxilla and mandible.
- Precise dental implant placement: through minimally invasive surgery guided by digital planning, implants were placed in the ideal positions to restore shape, function, and aesthetics, respecting biomechanics and facial harmony.
- Recovery of vertical dimension: by restoring the lost occlusal height, facial support was re-established, eliminating the feeling of a “sunken face” and giving the patient a younger and more natural expression.
- Balanced and personalized smile: the new implant rehabilitation was digitally designed, looking for the proper proportion between teeth and face, correcting the initial decompensation and offering an excellent aesthetic and functionally stable result.
