The patient attended Herrera Dental Clinic concerned about the shape and alignment of her anterior teeth. She presented mild crowding, a gummy smile, and short teeth with an irregular morphology that did not harmonize with her face. In addition, she showed a poorly symmetrical gingival contour, which accentuated the unesthetic appearance of her smile.
She was looking for a comprehensive solution that would improve the alignment, size, and aesthetics of her teeth without losing naturalness. The treatment plan included: low-friction fixed orthodontics, aesthetic crown lengthening, and layered composite veneers.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?
- Effective and harmonious dental alignment: with fixed orthodontics, we corrected the crowding and positioned the teeth correctly to facilitate the final aesthetic work.
- Aesthetic crown lengthening: through periodontal plastic surgery, we remodeled the gingival contour and exposed more dental surface, improving the tooth-gum proportion and eliminating the “small teeth” effect.
- Composite veneers: we performed 6 direct veneers with layered technique, using high-aesthetic resins. This option allowed us to customize shape, texture, and color, achieving a natural smile with minimal invasion and without the need for reshaping.
- Balanced, natural, and youthful smile: thanks to the combination of treatments, the patient achieved a brighter smile with a harmonious shape and gums in perfect proportion, which completely transformed her facial expression.
