OUR PATIENT'S PROBLEMS
The patient attended Herrera Dental Clinic with a very pronounced central diastema between the upper incisors, caused by a low insertion of the upper labial frenulum. This space not only affected aesthetics, but was also related to excessive gingival display when smiling.
In addition, she presented alterations in shape and color in the central and lateral incisors, which increased the visual impact of the problem. A treatment plan in two phases was scheduled: fixed orthodontics with brackets to close spaces and correct gingival display, and subsequently, an aesthetic treatment with veneers.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?
- Complete diastema closure and dental alignment: through fixed orthodontics with metal brackets, we managed to move the incisors to their ideal position, eliminating the space between them in a controlled manner and preventing relapses through proper planning and retention.
- Improvement of gingival display: dental repositioning allowed reducing the amount of visible gum when smiling, resulting in a more harmonious and natural smile.
- Aesthetic veneers on upper incisors: we placed four layered veneers (on teeth 12, 11, 21, and 22) to improve the shape, contour, and color of the teeth, using highly aesthetic materials that mimic the texture and translucency of enamel.
- Comprehensive aesthetic result: the patient regained confidence when smiling, with a proportionate, natural, and completely functional smile.
