OUR PATIENT'S PROBLEMS
The patient attended Herrera Dental Clinic with a complex case of multiple agenesis (congenital absence of several teeth), which had caused a generalized malposition, dental malocclusion, and non-physiological space closure —such as the closure of the space for tooth 12.
In addition, she presented altered passive eruption, which resulted in a smile with short and disproportionate teeth, with excessive gingival display.
She attended with a clear aesthetic demand, but also with functional implications. A multidisciplinary treatment was necessary to address each phase in a coordinated manner.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?
- Dental alignment and creation of spaces: we performed a fixed orthodontic treatment to organize the dental arches, correct malocclusion, and open the necessary spaces for the subsequent placement of implants, as in tooth 12.
- Esthetic crown lengthening: we corrected the altered passive eruption through a gingivectomy and bone remodeling, which allowed increasing the clinical proportion of the anterior teeth and improving gingival symmetry.
- Placement of dental implants: in areas with agenesis, osseointegrated implants were placed in optimal positions following digital planning, allowing for a fixed and functional rehabilitation.
- High-aesthetic feldspathic veneers: custom veneers were designed and placed in the anterior sector using feldspathic porcelain, achieving a white, harmonious smile completely integrated with the facial proportions.
- A completely redesigned smile: thanks to the combination of orthodontics, periodontal plastic surgery, implantology, and advanced cosmetic dentistry, we managed to restore a functional, proportionate smile with a spectacular visual impact for the patient.
